Are You On-track?
[/fusion_text][fusion_text]I was at a friend’s birthday party the other night, catching up with some people I hadn’t seen in a while. We talked about the usual stuff – family, running, work, etc. Inevitably these days when I talk about work, the conversation includes the fact that pretty much all of my clients are happy right now. The stock market is doing well. People are on-track to reach their financial goals.
When we got to that part, I had an epiphany. If your financial plan is not working right now, something is wrong. Maybe you are having a hard time finding ways to save money for college or retirement. Maybe you need better investment advice. Maybe your goals are unrealistic.
There may be a valid reason for your financial plan to be a struggle – trouble finding work, health problems, or a good long-term investment strategy that has been out of favor. However, it could also mean that there is a problem that needs fixing. Right now the numbers in your financial plan should look good. If they don’t look good, be sure to ask enough questions to find out why.[/fusion_text][separator style_type=”single” top_margin=”” bottom_margin=”” sep_color=”” icon=”” width=”” class=”” id=””][fusion_text]
